Oh what a super cute line of paper by Bo Bunny. Too bad it was created with a boy in mind. The papers were actually pulled to create a boy layout at
Treasured Memories for a make and take.
Well, Little Miss Symone acts like a boy at times but all girl at others. She is tough as nails, but loves her lipstick, mascara, (she sneaks in her Tee Tee's bag), and fingernail polish. Now Jazmine on the other hand is girlie all the time.
I love the colors of the line. Lots of bold and bright colors, but how can you create something girlie out of something masculine?
My trusted friend Phelicia saved the day. In a previous class they made grass out of the little strips of beaded ribbon. I loved the effect, but it is tedious cutting those beads. But it is worth it. After I had my grass, I was like now I need some flowers because Symone loves herself some flowers. The little roses just added that extra ump to create something beautiful.
In the original sketch the title was black. Can you say did nothing for the layout. I decided to change my title from geared up to Girlie Girlsand layer for a more dramatic effect. To create the grass effect, you cut each bead on the top row going horizontally. Then you go back and completely remove every other bead horizontally. It creates that staggered look.
Some one suggested that you take the beads you cut out and glue them in various rows to create the different heights of blades of grass. I didn't do it in the layout, but I will try it on another one.
To create the curl on the flower stems, we just used a paintbrush and twirled it around the stem the staggered them throughout the grass.
Thanks for stopping by.
