Love Rocks

I was super excited to have the opportunity to visit my daughter this week in Lafayette, Louisiana. That meant that I could visit my favorite scrap store, Treasured Memories. I knew exactly what pictures I wanted to scrap, but had no paper in my stash. Yes, for those of you who are saying no way she didn't have any paper, believe it, I have plenty of paper, but none to match the photos.

This layout is my daughter, Tiffany and her future, maybe, lol fiance, Herman. Our town has added a beautiful waterfall landscape to the downtown area and we all love it. These photos were taken one Sunday evening.

I popped the flagstone in various places and it added so much dimension. I cut the My Mind's Eye paper in strips then weaved the wood.  I am truly pleased with this layout.

Family, Not Luck, But Love

Here is my take on the challenge at Platinum Scraps this week.  The sketch was provided by Patti Hutchinson and the theme had to be St. Patricks Day related.

I was like I have no pictures of anything St. Patty's Day, then while looking in my stash I came across these of my DGD, Symone and my DS, MJ at the park sometime in January.  Little Miss Symone had never been to the park with us and she did not care if she ever did from her reaction.  She did not like any of the park equipment; swings, slide, animals, none of it and she was not having it.

No one could satisfy her but "Uncle".  She would not go to anyone but him.  Her reaction on each photo says it all.  When I am unsure or afraid, I can always count on the love and protection of family.

ACY - Children; EPDU - road.

Thanks for looking.
