Disney's Toy Story Layout

Here is a layout that was done at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana.  I am poor right now and couldn't afford to purchase the kit, so I bought the papers and lifted it.  I know Janet was so kind as to give me a napkin, but for the life of me, I couldn't find it so I created my own.  Thanks Janet for the inspiration.

The napkin on Janet's layout is an actual paper napkin.  I had one like I said but couldn't find it so I created one with paper and a cuttlebug folder.  My camera didn't take vivid photos like her layout but the papers are the same.  I will take a better photo another day but it is cold as heck here and this southern girl is not used to 32 degree weather.

Animal Kingdom

Today I am featuring a layout that I originally did for Monday's launch over at Platinum Scraps.  Have you ever designed a layout and everyone said it was a good layout but decided that a little "tweaking" could turn it into a better layout.  Well this is what I did.  I followed the sketch but I felt the white space (empty space) at the top was a little to much for my liking.  I went in and added a few elements.

I will display the sketch, the first tweak, and the second tweak.  It is never to late to build on a good foundation.

You Blow My Mind

This week over at Platinum Scraps we are continuing our parade of projects made featuring paper from Bo Bunny's Gypsy line.  I didnt' like this paper at first but I must admit, it is growing on me.  Please go over to the blog to view the other designer's take on this project.

I did a two for one as I like to call them.  I met the requirements for our design team but in the process, I also used a sketch from a blog I just love.  The sketch comes from the girls over at Stuck on U Sketches.  I am still wanting to be like them when I grow up.  As I went to there blog, I see that the sketch actually comes from pagemaps.com.  Ok, enough the credit has been issued.

Mistletoe Jam

This is my entry for our challenge this week over at Platinum Scraps.  Each designer could complete any project, it just had to be Christmas Themed.  I designed this project with my cousin in mind who absolutely loved herself some Luther Vandross.  Since it was Christmas, what better title than Luther's song, "Mistletoe Jam".  The blue and silver mimics her sorority colors, blue and white.  I can hear her now, go Zeta's, LOL.  Gotta love the greeks.

Anyway, thanks for looking and may God continue to make your holiday season bright.

Three B's: Brads, Buttons, and Bows

Over at Platinum Scraps, our challenge this week is to create a layout with buttons, brads, and bows.  I immediately knew my title when this challenge was issued.  Didn't have the photos, paper, or even an idea, but I think it came out just fine. I challenged myself this time.  My team mates know that I am so afraid of patterned papers.  In 2011, I want to conquer that fear.  I only used solid cardstock as accents.  I love how it turned out.

This is Symone, ha ha, like yall don't know who she is.  But just in case, this is Nana's very first grandchild and my DD and DS never let's me forget that I am the first, her dad, and her and we are rotten.  I beg to differ but eveyone has their own opinions.

Anyway, this is Ms. Symone on her Papa's truck.  Whenever he puts her back there, she just has a ball.  He always has to chase her down just to get her to come out.

Thanks for always being a loyal follower.  Be sure to come and post a link to your project if you decide to take the challenge to complete the three B's.
